Our story

Dousters was founded in 2022. The name comes from the house in which we completed our very first project, Dousters. This project was a compact living development that was designed and built with the view of showcasing how effectively space can be utilised. This project is called ‘Tardis 1’ and is featured on our website.

Tardis 1 success was recognised with a feature on “never too small”, a leading media outlet that showcases and celebrates the best small footprint architecture from around the world. This was a huge achievement and a testament to the hard work, attention to detail and devotion of the team from design through to delivery of the project. It is this quality process and end product that we wanted to instil within our brand, company culture and name. The best way we could awknowledge this is by paying homage to the property that made this project possible.

About me

My name is Jonathan, I am the founder and director of Dousters. My journey in construction started at Loughborough university where I obtained a first class honours in quantity surveying. I have spent five years working as a construction manager with Walter Lilly,  a market leader in super prime residential construction.
